Afternoon Strolls

March 18, 2015

Hi friends! Sorry I’ve been MIA for so long! With the week leading up to spring break being so busy, and then spring break, I decided to take some time for myself and to spend that time with my family.

Not to worry, though! In the time I’ve been gone, I’ve done some exploring. Last Friday I ventured into downtown Manhattan, and found myself in SoHo. While there I did a lot of walking around, and ventured into a few new restaurants.

Firstly, I found myself in a crowded Dean and Deluca. While there, I stopped at every person who was handing out samples, and discovered Orange Blackberry Juice. It was surprisingly delicious, and I ended up buying a bottle for the road.

I met my friend in a restaurant called (The Mercer) Kitchen . It’s an awesome restaurant that is basically underground. It’s like taking a break from the world for a little while, and venturing to somewhere new! I met my friend at the bar, had at taste of the appetizer she was snaking on when I met her, and then we were off!

Next, we ventured to B&B Wine Pub. I hadn’t had a burger in AGES, so I was beyond excited to eat a burger. We split the burger since we had the appetizer at the previous restaurant. The burger was worth the anticipation, and the fries (because who doesn’t love fries!?)

Finally, we ventured to Georgetown Cupcake. Believe it or not, Georgetown Cupcake exists outside of Georgetown! We picked up vanilla and milk chocolate cupcakes, and were off again!

The rest of the afternoon was spent just walking around and wandering through SoHo. It was a gorgeous day to be outside after such a long and harsh winter! If you ever find yourself in SoHo, let me know what places you find yourself in!
