Summer Reading

May 15, 2015

Guys I’m probably not going to stop talking about summer for, well, most of the summer. Just go with it. Now that I have some time off and time to actually use for myself, I’ve decided that I’m going to catch up on some reading.

I’ve come up with a list of books that I’ll be reading this summer (and hopefully finish), so cross your fingers and break out your book markers!

1. Allegiant – Veronica Roth

Of course, this is at the top of my reading list. I finished reading Insurgent and saw the movie over spring break and immediately bought Allegiant. I left the book on my night stand when I left to go back to school, and have finally gotten around to picking it up. I’ve been told that once I start I won’t be able to stop until I’m done, so hopefully I’ll finish it soon and get back to you with some awesome reviews.

2. Not That Kind of Girl – Lena Dunham

I’ve had this book since December and have been meaning to finish it, but real life got in the way of that. This summer I finally plan on finally making it to the end of the book.

3. How to be Parisian Wherever You Are – Anne Berest, Audrey Diwan, Caroline De Maigret, and Sophie Mas

I’ve already read this book, but I can never get enough of it. It’s 100% life and aesthetic goals for me, so I will never stop re-reading it.

4. Yes Please – Amy Poehler

It was written by Amy Poehler, that alone speaks for itself.

5. Why Not Me? – Mindy Kaling

This book isn’t actually out for sale yet, but I love Mindy Kaling and feel that it wouldn’t be right to create a “To Read” list without including her book on it. I’ve already read her book Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me (And Other Concerns) and absolutely LOVED it. I’ll probably be re-reading her first book before the second one comes out, but since I’ll still count September as part of the summer season, book number two is on my list!

That’s all I have for now, but once I come across some more awesome books, I’ll add them to my list! Enjoy your reading time!
