Well ladies and gentlemen, I finally made it to the motherland. Yes, that’s right, I went to Spain. Madrid, to be exact. So in a series of posts, I’m going to share with you the story of my time there.
If I could pick any phrase to describe Madrid, it would be, “Eat, drink, and be merry!” This city is fully of history, interesting people, and excellent food. If there is any take away from the trip, it is the lifestyle. It is far more relaxed and happier than the lives that we Americans lead. The weather is always gorgeous, and eating outdoors isn’t a luxury, it’s expected!
If you asked me to pick between London and Madrid, I couldn’t give you an answer. Both cities were equally as great in their own ways, and had so much to offer. London with it’s quintessential British charm, and Madrid with it’s lively and eccentric culture, I can’t pick just one city. So to answer your question, I would find an equal amount of time in my life to spend in both cities.
So for now, I leave you with an introduction to Madrid.
